Must complete all lessons
After completing this module, participants should be able to discuss when ipsilateral Neck Radiation is appropriate, and some of the reasoning behind that choice, as well as what LN levels are appropriate to treat.
I have worked at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey since 2006, after completing medical school and radiation oncology residency at Yale. Prior to that I attended the U.S. Naval Academy and served as a submarine officer aboard the USS Asheville (SSN 758).My twin passions at work are head & neck cancer and education. These days, I treat head & neck at two cancer centers in New Brunswick and in Newark, and enjoy meeting and caring for patients at both locations. I’ve served as residency program director for the radiation oncology program since about 2008.I remember vividly that as a resident, head & neck cancer seemed to be the most complicated and daunting of sites to learn about. With these EduMods, I’ve tried to incorporate a lot of the practical knowledge that I’ve gained over the past ten years ie the lessons that I wish someone had taught me early in my career. It is my sincere hope that these EduMods make learning about head & neck a little easier and more enjoyable, and perhaps help a few of our patients. If you have any comments or feedback on my EduMods contact the EduCase Support Team.Sincerely,Sung Kim, MD
